- I Passed my Audition!!! -

When I 1st attended LightHouse's Miracle Service in March, I went in and felt the Peace. Its something which I have not felt in a long time.

When the worship session starts, the feeling is so good. Everyone was singing and worshipping the Lord and although I don't know the songs, being a person who loves singing, I joined in to sing looking at the lyrics on the screen. LoL...

I noticed other than the Worship Leaders who consist of 2 sisters and 1 brother, there is a group of Choir at the back of the stage backing up the 3 Worship Leaders. Its the 1st time i notice them.

After a few months in Lighthouse, I came to know that different ministries does different things and all the people who serve are called Lighters. As for the choir, they are called Praislighters. Praislighters belong to a ministry called Praislight which provides backup support singing for the English worship services.

From then on, I was thinking whether I should join this ministry cos I love singing. Kai Ma and Kai Yeh both encourage me to give it a try. Last month, there is a calling for recruitment of Praislighters. I decide to give it a try.

To use the gift that God has given me to serve him is the best way to serve!

Sister Girle called me up and ask me to go for Audition, I was told to prepare a song and it will be sang in A Cappella, no music, just pure voice. Preferably christian song. After which, they will check my vocal range. Sad to say, although I love to sing, I don't know my vocal range. LoL... No proper music training before too.

I was struggling as to which song to sing. Ryan suggested that I should sing "Above All" but the lyrics of it is so complicated. Alot of different Above All to memorise. So I was thinking whether to sing "Still/Be Still and Know" or "All the Earth" by Don Moen. These are the 2 songs which I like, then another song came into my mind "I Belong to You" a Lighthouse self composed song by brother Douglas or is it Pastor Pacer. LoL. Decided to sing "Still/ Be Still and Know" and started practicing it.

But few days before the Audition, I decide listen to Ryan's suggestion to sing "Above All"! Got the lyrics and started memorising it!

The day came, 8th August 2009, 5pm at Shalom room. Was there and a sister is already there. There were a total of 5 who came for this audition, I am the only guy there. At 5pm Sister Girle and Nova came and told us that the audition is on a first come first serve basis but the sister who came before me ask me to go 1st, ok then. I will go 1st!

Was in Shalom room and both sisters say, sing when you are ready. Started singing... Was asked to stop before I went into chorus. After that, sister Girle played on the keyboard to check my vocal range.

Was asked to go out of the room to wait while the 2 sisters discuss. After about 30secs, I was asked to go in again. Sister Girle told me some administration requirements that I have to meet before joining, some of which I have not met, but she still passed my Audition! I am in Praislight!!! :D

- Some thoughts -

I am just wondering, have you guys come across some ppl who is quite 不自动...

To elaborate, when we go out as a group and buy drinks or dessert, this person will ask whoever is going to buy to get something for him/her without fail. But then, this person will only go buy drinks by him/herself withouth asking what others want.

I am really wondering why they have such a thick skin?

I heard from a friend there was once when they say to go dutch, but this person acted blur. OMG, how 不自动 can it get?

I mean, are you really that poor that you need others to pay for you or is it a habit?
But it seems to me that you are not poor at all.. LoL

Just some thoughts, don't take it so seriously... LoL...

After a long wait, I finally got my iPhone 3GS 32GB Black!!!

Pre-ordered it online on 11th July after coming back from Comm Center cos the queue is full and no more walk-ins is entertained! Pre-ordered online for a 16GB Black, but change my mind on 13th July to a 32GB Black.

Received call on 24th July to collect from CWP!!! Yay!!

Went to "The Answer Is...." Concert!! Its an awesome concert!!! Everything is just so AWESOME!!!

Went for dinner with someone and heard something shocking. Previously I posted something on my MSN nick, but someone I m not sure who, used it against someone whom i know... And the best part is, tats non- of tat person's business... Weird ppl doing weird things...

Like what i read, the TONGUE is a very powerful weapon... I shall be more cautious of what I post and put as my MSN nick...

- My New Bed -

Got it from NOVA. Met a good furniture consultant which help me choose the bed i wanted. Very Happy with it and its COMFORTABLE!!! :D

Buttie buttie!! Its almost 3 years that we know each other and the last time we saw each other is like 1 year ago. LoL...

Finally met up with buttie again tonite for dinner at Ichiban Sushi @ AMK Hub. Its a cosy session where we chatted, joked and crapped. The longest conversation and the 1st dinner ever since we known each other.

Really had a great time! We should meet up often and next time should jio Jas jie jie oso!

Some of you might tink wat is "Buttie". Buttie ish actually another way we spell Buddy. EDMW way. LoL...

- Dinner Gathering @ Benten Cafe -

Dinner gathering with Andrew, Mr & Mrs Wacky, RQ, Mr Wacky's kor kor and RQ's XLP...

Someone suggested to try Benten @ Illuma... Not bad choice for dinner.. Food is tasty and price is quite reasonable. Although they mixed up my order -___-!!! I feel its quite ok...

Dinner is at 7pm but i reached bugis at around 6pm, met up with Andrew 1st and he was saying to buy pressie for Mummy cos Mother's Day is coming. As usual, diamond or pearl pendant comes to my mind again. Everytime seeing mum wearing those Pendants we gave her makes me happy.. Walk around and went to Soo Kee and saw those pendants on promotion for mother's day. Saw a few nice ones, but decided to buy tis one for Mummy, Ryan will share wif me, and heard from Ryan that we will b buying a gown for Mama...

Smsed Telur jie and they say they already seated in Benten Cafe, so we went over shortly. Telur & RQ jie both were there. Chatted for awhile while waiting for Wacky and his kor kor....

- Its Monday -

Its Monday again, but its a short week!

Its been a long time since my last update. Sorry bout that.
Some updates.

Attended the Windows Server 2008 course last week, a 3 days course. Interesting and learnt quite a number of things.

After that, was sick and on mc on Thursday and Friday. :S
Till today, still not fully recovered yet.

Went to Mediacorp to watch Star Awards last nite. Almost went deaf from the crazy whistling of those crazy fans!!!

It a short but fun week. Its Good Friday tmr! How Good is good?

Just some updates
At work, Steven came back tis week starting as Temp 1st haf to wait awhile more b4 he gets his perm status.

Coming Monday, Rain mei will be joining us working at GO.
Can't wait for mei to come! :D

As for myself, going to Church tmr to see TaiMing's testimony, Mom and aunts will be coming along too... Lets hope everything gets better...

And btw, tis 2 days have been so PEACEFUL! :D

- Tiring Week -

Its Friesday again!

Been a busy and tiring week. Few things happening since last week.

First, my grandpa was hospitalised as his blood pressure shot up suddenly, to above 200. When me and my dad visited him, the pressure was 222 for the high and 105 for the low. Had a little chat wif him but nothing much to chat about. Long story. Nurse is going to help wash them and change their clothes, so we left.

Two days later, he has been discharged. Doctors have no idea why his pressure shot up so high. They only suspect its the medicine tat might haf caused it and doctor says that he can't get aggitated, angry and can't fall. Did not visit him when he is homeas we did not want Grandma to start digging out problem and make grandpa angry. Welll, get well soon grandpa.


Finally had my gym session on Wednesday. Its a fun session with Kev and Jasper. Surprising I m able to do a 60Kg deadlift 2 reps of 5 and 2 reps of 3. Is it because I got stronger or is it because of the Phisten necklace. LoL...

Meeting Dagen and da rest tonite, Andy says Dagen got something to announce... Expected announcement is he is getting married, lets see if i am correct. LoL...

- IT Show, Recession? -

Once again its the IT Show!!!

Every year, there will be 4 IT shows. On March, June, September and December. Each have different name. LoL. IT show, PC show, Comex and dunno wat...

Went there during office hours(official de hor!!) with Alex... To our surprise, there are so so so many people!!! Hey its only the 1st day, a THURSDAY and during OFFICE HOURS!! Hello!!! So many ppl there! -___-|||

All looking and buying stuffs... Who says RECESSION IS HERE? While walking around, we also hear other ppl commenting "Got recession mehz? so many ppl around." LoL...

Well for me, the only reason for going to IT Show is to get my new Speaker...

Recently my old 5.1 Altec Lansing 5100 speaker upz lorry... Thanks for serving me for 6 year. You have been a great set of speaker!

Walked the whole IT Show and I can't find the speaker I m looking for!!!

End up i gotta run to Harvey Norman at the other side of Suntec to get it. WTF!

Came home quite late, remove my old speakers and fix up the new speaker!!

Its a good pair of speaker! Read from reviews and you gotta hear it to know how good it sounds!! Although price is on the high side but its worth it! Love it!! :D

Sorry for not updating my blork for so long, has been busy at work and busy gaming at home. And of cos, busy practicing piano for my upcoming exam in march. Stress!!!

On valentines day, I m alone. =(
Went over to young unker's house to celebrate Charlene's Birthday! :D
Got her a Carebear as promised but din take picture of it.
Guess what, I got myself a long wanted Stitchie!!! :D

Had our annual staff lunch last friday. Its at NEC, food not tat nice thou, lucky draw oso din win anything.. well its juz another event. so nvm lol...

Well for last sat, we went KLunch wif Angeline, Janice jie jie, JT, Andrew and Baby! :D

Nice nice session and wats best, we got to sing duet with Janice jie jie, JT and Angeline. This is something tats lacking in most of our KTV, cos our KTV all GUYS!!!

As we were singing, we spotted an unattended bag!!! Should we report to KBox Staff!!! :eek:


After KTV, went to Taka to get the Phiten Necklass.
Terence Blog about it in one of his Post, therefore felt like trying and of cos, its not too costly. So went and buy it and gave it a try :) Got the same one as Terence but mine is red~ :D

NS is not over after you ORD-ed...

           

Once in a while, they will call u telling you its ur ops manning period. And sometimes they will juz MOB u!!!

Ops manning period is usually 1 week where they will notify you that you have to get ready in case they mobilise you, you will haf to report to your mobilisation centre with your FBO (Full Battle Order).

The last time kenna mob is like 3 years ago. So tis time round, we kenna!!!

Call came around 12noon and I only went back at around 3pm. LoL.. Met Alfred, Tok and Zhiwen and went in together. In-pro area is the usual one where we get our 1st sticker. We need to proceed to have our equipments check, tis time the place where they check our equipments is at 1 corner of the camp!!! Farking FAR, considering the load we are carrying.

Tis time round is David check our bags which LoL is a breeze... Finish checking liaoz, he said "okok, fuck off" while pasting the 2nd sticker on our collar. Tats the usual david Lol...

We were told to leave using Gate4, its fucking at the other corner of the camp!!! Luckily i was using the new duffle bag with wheels, and i juz pull it as i walk... =.=

Leave by the gate, Alfred and Tok took cab while dad fetch me after waiting for like 30mins.. Thanks Dad...
